Manga/Anime Club, 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Watch anime, talk manga, try foods from Japan and Korea, play games and discover new pop music. Youth may bring original artwork, drawings and stories and wear costumes.

Pages and Paws, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to therapy dogs.

Baby's First Storytime, 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday.

Creative Writing Workshop for Teens, 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday. Work with other young writers at these weekly sessions in June and July.

Reading Readiness Storytime, 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Teen Wednesdays, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Join teens for gaming, crafting, hanging out and having fun. Teens only.

Book Banter, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. This month's book for discussion is The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.

Mousing Around, 6 p.m. Thursday. Learn basic mouse skills for home computers. Computer classes are for adults only.

Sheriff’s Office Cookout, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. All proceeds from the cookout will benefit the library.

Homeschool Book Club, 1:30 p.m. Friday. Homeschoolers bring books to share with others at this group. This month's theme is humor.

Teen Friday Flicks, 3:30 p.m. Friday. This week's movie is Jurassic Park (PG13).

 

Health

Adult Walk-In Clinics, 8 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. Monday at the Union County Health Department. Cost is $25. Visit uchd.net.

Childhood Immunization Clinics, by appointment only, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the second, fourth and fifth Wednesdays of each month, and 2 to 6 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Union County Health Department. Cost is $10 per dose, plus $20 for the visit. The program allows the health department to provide required vaccines for free or at reduced cost for children who are uninsured, under-insured or on Medicaid. Call 937-642-2053.

Sexual Health Clinic, Tuesdays by appointment at the Union County Health Department. Services offered include pregnancy testing, free and confidential HIV testing and limited testing for sexually transmitted infections. Cost is based on income and no one is turned away for inability to pay. Appointments required. Call 937-642-2053.
