Kirsch steps down as Marysville boys soccer coach
Marc Kirsch has resigned as coach of the Marysville High School boys soccer team after leading the program for 14 seasons.
He submitted his letter of resignation to athletics director Joe Bline on Dec. 5.
“It was just the right time,” Kirsch said. “I have been coaching for almost 20 years straight and I want to focus on my family now.”
After finishing 4-12-2 overall in 2011, the Monarchs bounced back to finish 8-5-4 overall and 3-2-2 in the OCC-Central Division this past season. Their season ended with a 2-1 loss to Reynoldsburg 2-1 in the second round of the Division I district tournament after having a first-round bye.
