Denise Lynn deSilva and Jansen James Litter were united in marriage on Dec. 1, 2007, at the Bexley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alan Sippel and Dr. Frank Luchsinger officiating.

The bride is the daughter of William and Donnajean deSilva of Columbus.

The groom is the son of Peggy and Jay Shoemaker of Bainbridge, Ohio, and Martin and Beth Litter of Chillicothe.

Andrea Andrako was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Henderson, Lisa Sibits, Allison Fedyk, Sara Mabe and Bethany Ward. Maya deSilva, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Chad Flannagan, the groom's cousin, was best man. Groomsmen were Colton Shoemaker (brother of the groom), Vince Close, Ned LeMaster, Jason Schreck and Curt Cutright. Brad deSilva and Brian deSilva, brothers of the bride, were ushers.

A reception was held at The Westin Columbus.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and a 2002 graduate of Ohio University with a degree in marketing and international business. She is a regional steel buyer for Worthington Industries.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Paint Valley High School and has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (2002) and master's degree in mechanical engineering (2004) from Ohio University. He is a lead design engineer for General Electric Aircraft Engines.

The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and reside in West Chester, Ohio.
