Abigail and Les Wexner will host an event Sept. 11 at their party barn in New Albany to remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001. The "Grand Event" is the inaugural event of their annual campaign to raise money to serve the needs of the central Ohio and national Jewish communities and to support Israel through the Columbus Jewish Federation.

The "Grand Event" is the inaugural event of their annual campaign to raise money to serve the needs of the central Ohio and national Jewish communities and to support Israel through the Columbus Jewish Federation.

The federation serves Jews in more than 60 countries and provides assistance to agencies, synagogues and organizations.

Steven Emerson, an internationally known expert on terrorism and national security, will give a keynote address about threats facing the Jewish community in the 21st century.

The Grand Event is open to individuals who make gifts of at least $500 and couples who donate $1,100 to the Columbus Jewish Federation.

New Albany High School marching band alumni can relive their high school years on Friday.

In honor of alumni night, New Albany High School marching band alumni can play with the band in the stands and during the halftime show with current band members.

Alumni can rehearse with the band at 5 p.m. Friday, with a catered dinner to follow at 6 p.m. Alumni are asked to wear maroon and gold, bring an instrument and money for dinner. The band will line up at 7 p.m. and the halftime show will begin around 8:30 p.m.
