The New Albany Community Foundation will begin taking applications for its annual round of grants, with a Dec. 1 deadline. The foundation gives grants to nonprofit organizations that are located in or serve the New Albany and Plain Township community in one or more of the impact areas of education, the environment, arts and culture and health and wellness.

The foundation gives grants to nonprofit organizations that are located in or serve the New Albany and Plain Township community in one or more of the impact areas of education, the environment, arts and culture and health and wellness.

Previous recipients include New Albany-Plain Local teachers, New Albany Community Band, New Albany-Plain Township Historical Society and Safety Town.

To submit a proposal to the foundation, the organization must be an IRS-recognized nonprofit group. Grant applications and a report on the outcome of the project must be submitted to the foundation at 220 Market St., Suite 205, by Dec. 1. Grant applications are available at the foundation office.
