New Albany for Kids, the PAC in support of the New Albany-Plain Local School district levy of 24.4-mills on the Nov. 4 ballot, reported $53,000 in funds on its pre-general campaign finance report.

According to the report, $46,120 in contributions had been made, with $7,707 brought from the last report. The report said almost $12,000 had been spent and $2,600 has been received in in-kind contributions.

So far, funds have been spent on signs, office supplies, fliers, postage and rental fees. According to the report filed by treasurer Debbie Klug with the Secretary of State Oct. 15, $41,926 remains in the PACs funds.

Big contributors to the campaign include the New Albany Co. with $10,000, TMP Associates of Bloomfield Hills, MI, contributed $5,000, Harrison Planning Group with $1,750 and Shelley, Metz, Baumann and Hawk with $550.

M/I Homes also gave $5,000, Dynamix Engineering gave $1,750 and CASTO gave $5,000.

Prudential RK Morris Realtors, J. Ben Barton, school board member Mark Ryan, EMH&T, Rich, Crites and Dittmer and Donald Shoemaker Electric contributed $500.

More than 200 other individuals contributed to the campaign, giving funds ranging from $450 to $5.
