The annual Labor Day Weekend Powwow will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, and run through the three-day weekend at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, 4100 Columbia St. in Hilliard.

The annual Labor Day Weekend Powwow will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, and run through the three-day weekend at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, 4100 Columbia St. in Hilliard.

Sponsored by the Native American Indian Center of Central Ohio (NAICCO), the event features Native American music, dancing, arts, crafts and food. Dancers will make a grand entry at 1 p.m. each day and at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The weekend also includes demonstrations and sales by local and national native artisans.

Admission is $7 for adults; $3 for seniors and students; and free for children age 5 and younger. Weekend passes are available for $15. Visitors should bring their own seating. Call 443-6120.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium's Safari Golf Club will host the second annual Jungle Jack's Conservation Cup Friday, Sept. 11, with proceeds to benefit the Columbus Zoo's Conservation Endowment Fund. Events will begin at 11 a.m. at the club, 4853 Powell Road. A shotgun start is scheduled for 1 p.m. The outing will include a meet-and-greet with Jack Hanna, lunch, raffle prizes, golf prizes and two chances to win a car with a hole-in-one. Golfers can also meet the zoo's promotion animals.
