The Plain Township trustees Oct. 21 authorized township administrator J.B. Bowe to work a 32-hour week, rather than a 40-hour work week.

Bowe, who is paid by the hour, said he requested the hour decrease in January, when his annual review was completed.

He said one reason he is able to do this is because of the addition of zoning officer Ben Collins.

"Ben is doing a great job," Bowe said. "He is doing everything and more than what we thought he would be. That is going to make a huge difference."
