A computer and electronics recycling event to benefit Habitat for Humanity-Columbus will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at TechUsed Computer Recycling's new location at 3820 Zane Trace Drive (near Roberts Road at I-270).

A computer and electronics recycling event to benefit Habitat for Humanity-Columbus will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at TechUsed Computer Recycling's new location at 3820 Zane Trace Drive (near Roberts Road at I-270).

Items can be dropped off for free, either to be rebuilt for discounted resale or environmentally recycled. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Habitat families.

TechUsed will accept computers, printers, computer equipment, wires and other small household electronics for recycling.

A $10 fee is required to recycle tube televisions.

TechUsed will securely destroy all data files on donated equipment as a part of recycling and refurbishing to ensure the privacy of any stored information.

Donors may also clear their own data files from computers before donating.

TechUsed is normally open to the public 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for donation drop-offs of electronic equipment.
