The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) has selected Anitra Karthic of New Albany Middle School as one of 15 middle school students to attend the 12th annual Young Women's Summer Institute.

The students will explore and address complex environmental watershed issues that impact the state. Throughout the week, they also will hear about career opportunities from women who work in diverse industries.

OSC started the institute in 2000 to help young women develop a strong interest in science, technology, engineering and math by engaging them in scientific studies. More information is available at www.ywsi.org.
