Deanna Ballman, the pregnant mother whose body was found in the backseat of her car the day after she answered a Craigslist ad, died from a heroin overdose, according to a toxicology report released Sept. 10 by the Delaware County Sheriff's Office and the Delaware County Coroner's Office.

Ballman, who was 23, was found in her car Aug. 1 along Bevelhymer Road near the Delaware County line. She had left her two children with her mother in Pataskala, saying she was going to the New Albany area to clean a home.

Ballman had been due to give birth to a girl, her third child, later in August. The baby did not survive. An autopsy finished last month showed no signs of trauma to her body.

Investigators say they are treating her death as suspicious.
