Pool rates will increase by 3 percent

By

Plain Township trustees have increased 2013 pool fees for the Plain Township Aquatic Center by 3 percent.

After comparing rates with pools in Gahanna, Westerville and Worthington, the trustees on Jan. 16 decided on the rate increase.

They also decided to limit family passes to families of four or more, eliminating the category for families of five or more.

The rate changes include:

* A pass for a single resident will increase from $140 to $144.

* A pass for family of four or more that lives in the New Albany-Plain Local School District will increase from $360 to $371.

* A pass for someone who lives outside New Albany and Plain Township will increase from $185 to $191.

* A pass for a family of four or more that lives outside the school district will increase from $405 to $417.

More information about pool passes is available at www.plaintownship.org.
