NAPL School district seeks representative for parks board

The New Albany-Plain Local School District is seeking a person interested in serving a three-year term as one of two district representatives on the New Albany Joint Parks District board.

Mike Klein, school board vice president, said Jeff Johnson did not request his term be renewed.

Those interested should mail a letter of interest and resume to: Rebecca Jenkins, treasurer, New Albany-Plain Local School District, 55 N. High St., New Albany, Ohio, 43054; or send an email to

Klein said candidates must apply by 5 p.m. Monday, March 11. The school board will review resumes and hold interviews, he said.

The parks district is a nonprofit organization with a six-member board. The school district, the city of New Albany and Plain Township have two representatives each.

The school district's other representative, Ronnie Robinson, remains on the board.

The park district board meets at 6 p.m. the first Monday of every month in the parks office on Bevelhymer Road in Bevelhymer Park.

School district representatives on the board are asked to attend parks board meetings and report information back to the school board.
