Nationwide Children’s Hospital will be part of a new community health at the southwest corner of Village Hall and Johnstown roads in New Albany.
Gil Peri, vice president of regional development for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, said the hospital will use 8,500 square feet of space on the building’s second floor and have 40 to 50 employees on site.
Peri said the hospital already provides trainers and other athletics services to New Albany High School.
The Daimler Group is expected to break ground for the health facility this spring.
The 52,000-square-foot facility would be on land owned by the New Albany Co. through a partnership with the city, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Integrated Wellness Partners.
The Wexner Medical Center is expected to lease 70 percent of the facility for clinical outpatient services, physician offices and rehabilitation services. Integrated Wellness Partners would manage a fitness facility within that space.
