Employee at business witnesses vehicle break-in

While looking out a window at a business in the 6000 block of Dublin-Granville Road, an employee witnessed someone breaking into a vehicle and then fleeing the scene at 2:45 p.m. March 12, according to New Albany police.

Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle, but a spare tire had been dislodged.

In other recent incident reports from the New Albany Police Department:

* A 35-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear at 10:31 a.m. March 12 on North Stygler Road in Gahanna.

* A 28-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for driving without paying the reinstatement fee at 11:56 a.m. March 10 on Village Hall Road.

* A vehicle parked on James River Road east of Drayton Hall South was damaged sometime between midnight and 9:30 a.m. March 9. The rear window had been broken. An estimated value of the damage was not reported.

* A 42-year-old woman was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence, failure to control and possession of drug instruments at 3:58 a.m. March 8 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville. The woman was involved in a one-car accident on state Route 161 in New Albany.
