March of Dimes Women’s Board, annual fashion show, 6:30 p.m. April 19, at Via Vecchia, 485 S. Front St. in the Brewery District. This year’s event, “Caring Causes, Chic Styles,” will highlight women’s and men’s clothing lines from Thread on Grandview, food by Catering by Scott/Via Vecchia and entertainment. Women’s Board of the Columbus Museum of Art, 20th Anniversary Decorators’ Show House, April 23 through May 12, at 21 S. Parkview Ave. in Bexley. The event kicks off with a 1920s themed Preview Party, Roaring into the Show House 2013, from 6 to 9 p.m. April 20. The party features the musical stylings of Avalon Nine, signature drinks, food inspired by the 1920s, and vintage clothing and cards. Tickets are $100 per person, $175 per couple. The Decorators’ Show House will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $15 if purchased in advance at columbusmuseum.org or $20 if purchased at the door.
Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers, Organizing Expo, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27, at the Funny Bone located in Easton Town Center. Speakers will address topics ranging from chronic disorganization to home inventory management to time management tips. The Organizing Expo is presented in partnership with Goodwill Columbus. Admission is $5 or free with a donation of electronic waste or other goods to Goodwill Columbus the day of the event.
AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. The program offers paid work experience, specialized training, upgrading of skills and job-search assistance. Age, income and residency requirements apply.
