The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host the second annual Family History Day from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at the chapel, 5835 Central College Road in New Albany.
Both beginning and more-seasoned family history researchers are invited to this free event in which participants will have the opportunity to select three out of seven workshops led by local and regional family history authorities.
Topics will range from basic family history and family search subject matter to more complex topics. In addition, one workshop will be dedicated to teaching youth the basics of family history research.
Display tables covering topics related to finding one's ancestors will be featured.
The keynote address will be delivered during the opening meeting by Kevin Birch, Columbus Ohio East Stake president.
This event is open to the public; light snacks will be served.
