The New Albany Arts Council's annual Concert on the Commons begins at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30, on the New Albany High School lawn, 7600 Fodor Road.
Admission is free.
Robert Westbrook, a local actor and performer, will serve as master of ceremonies.
The program will feature more than 50 local students and adults who are members of the New Albany Chorus and New Albany Community Band.
The program will begin with the chorus singing It's a Grand Night for Singing from State Fair. The performance features two soloists: Joshua McKinney and Mala Chandrasekaran.
The next song will be Dancin' in the Streets, with soloists Bob Brooks, Chandrasekaran, Denise Rose, Sean Hooper, Kathy Mayhorn and Trisha Mayhorn. The chorus will be joined by local dancers from the Broadway Bound Dance Centre: Mya Gregory, Georgia Curtis, Sydney Yavitch, Katie Debolt, Lexi Schell, Taylor Schott, Brooke Burdick, Ruby Moss, Moriah Fleming, Megan Kallner and Meredith Whitaker.
The chorus then will perform He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother and a medley of Broadway music before the New Albany Community Band takes over, starting with selections by Duke Ellington.
The cast of the arts council's production of The Little Mermaid Jr. will be next, performing She's In Love. Cast members performing include: Izzy Vendetti, Rana Odabas, Kate Trybus, Sophia Orsinelli, Mikaela Ray, Lexi Schell and Mitchell Kallner.
The next few numbers will feature the New Albany Chorus. Soloists include Denise Rose and Sean Hooper for Pure Imagination.
The program will conclude with a singalong to The Stars and Stripes Forever, performed by the New Albany Community Band.
