The JP Morgan Chase Foundation and New Albany Community Foundation sponsored the 2013 Central Ohio Leadership Academy, a leadership development experience for rising high school seniors, June 17-22, on the Ohio State University campus.
Among the participants were Ron Davies, Alston Quillin III, Ryan Wilson and Wesley Ferguson from New Albany High School.
Students completing the six-day course receive two college credits from Ohio State University.
COLA cultivates leadership, creativity, ethical decision making, self-reflection and relationship building among the participants. Students develop leadership skills by participating in professionally facilitated training sessions, interactive team challenges and discussions with peers and community leaders.
Student learning is guided by an instructional collaborative that includes educators from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University as well as community leaders from across central Ohio.
