Humanist Jewish Chavurah of Columbus, High Holiday Service, 1:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at the New Albany Library, conference room, 200 Market St. A group-led service will emphasize renewal, reflection and new beginnings, with an affirmation of human power and dignity. St. Charles Preparatory School Alumni Golf Outing, 1:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at Riviera Country Club in Dublin. The scramble event begins with a shotgun start. An $80 entry fee covers the round of golf, a cart, prizes, refreshments and picnic dinner. New Albany Chamber of Commerce, September Update Breakfast, 7:30 a.m. Sept. 19 at Winding Hollow Country Club, 6140 Babbitt Road. The program begins at 8 a.m. with Bill Ebbing of the New Albany Company as the speaker. Cost is $25, $30 nonmembers. For reservations, which are required, contact the chamber at 614-855-4400.

Christ Child Society of Columbus, annual Red Wagon Fare luncheon, 10:30 a.m. Oct. 16 at the Villa Milano Banquet and Conference Center, 1630 Schrock Road. The event features a luncheon, a boutique of vendors from Central Ohio, Christ Child Society sweets, baked goods and crafts, as well as a style show provided by Chico's from the Shops at Worthington Place and Belles and Beaux Children's Boutique. Proceeds support the projects of the Christ Child Society. This year, Project Starfish, a tuition assistance program for the Christ Child-Child Care Center at St. Stephens Community House will be the focus. Wills and Estate Planning Seminar, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in the meeting room of the Gahanna branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, 310 Granville St. Attorney Raymond Eichenberger will discuss topics such as getting organized for estate planning, changes in estate tax laws, methods to avoid probate, living trusts, powers of attorney and medical directives. Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program of the Ohio Department of Insurance, Medicare 101, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at Wexner Heritage Village, 1151 College Ave. Those already enrolled or who will be new to Medicare in 2014 are invited to learn about their options and what is new to Medicare, including what is and is not covered, the costs of Medicare prescription benefits and how to avoid becoming a victim of unscrupulous sales practices.
