New Albany: Another Rumpke bin reported missing

For the second consecutive week, New Albany police officers are looking for a stolen Rumpke container.

In the latest incident, reported at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 23, a 90-gallon Rumpke trash bin valued at $100 was reported missing from the 8000 block of Griswold Drive.

The bin reportedly was taken between 5 and 7 p.m. Aug. 22.

This is the second time the homeowner reported a trash bin missing from the garage behind the home, the police report said. The previous theft was reported July 30.

Last week, police were searching for a Rumpke recycling bin taken from the 7000 block of Ogden Woods Boulevard between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 15.

The bin was put outside for collection and was reported missing at 2 p.m. Aug. 17, according to the police report.

In other recent incident reports from the New Albany Police Department:

* Police arrested a 32-year-old man for OVI, failure to drive in marked lanes, weaving and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 12:21 a.m. Aug. 29 on Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, south of Brandon Road.

* Police arrested a 49-year-old woman for OVI, failure to signal and driving under suspension at 3:20 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 6000 block of New Albany Links Drive.
