New Albany: Furniture reported stolen from Chabad Center-owned garage

New Albany police are investigating the theft of $25,800 worth of furniture taken from a garage owned by the Lori Schottenstein Chabad Center.

Tables, chairs and two hand-carved pillars were taken from the garage in the 6000 block of Dublin-Granville Road between 3 p.m. Aug. 30 and 3 p.m. Sept. 13, the police report said.

The crime was reported at 5 p.m. Sept. 17.

Officers are not sure how the thief or thieves were able to enter the building because there was no sign of forced entry, the police report said.
