Graffiti found near Route 62

The New Albany Police Department is investigating two cases of criminal damaging that involved graffiti.

A realty company reported the bridge walls in the New Albany Country Club tunnel under U.S. Route 62 at Fenway Road were painted with black graffiti between 5 p.m. Oct. 18 and 9 a.m. Oct. 19.

The other graffiti was found on a brick wall at the southeast corner of Route 62 and Keswick Drive.

The incident was reported by a home builder. The damage is estimated to have occurred between midnight Oct. 18 and 4 p.m. Oct. 21.

In other recent incident reports from the New Albany Police Department:

* Police arrested a 22-year-old woman for speeding and OVI at 3:09 a.m. Oct. 26 on Route 62.

* Police cited a 38-year-old man for turning at an intersection, child support suspension and license forfeiture suspension and arrested him on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in a driving-under-suspension case at 2:09 a.m. Oct. 26 on New Albany Road East south of Central College Road.

* Police arrested a 38-year-old man for OVI and failure to control at 10:16 p.m. Oct. 21 on Harlem Road.
