Police beat

Driver faces 'super OVI' charge

New Albany police arrested a 22-year-old woman for operating a vehicle under the influence and failure to control at 4:18 a.m. Nov. 20 on Johnstown Road, south of state Route 161.

The impaired driving charge was increased to "super OVI" because of the amount of alcohol found to be in her system when she was tested, New Albany Police Department reports said.

The woman's blood-alcohol content registered at 0.239, police said, nearly three time Ohio's legal limit of 0.08 percent.
