New Albany-Plain Local Superintendent April Domine will give a state of the schools address at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, in Mershad Hall at the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts, 100 E. Dublin-Granville Road.

Domine is expected to talk about the district's achievements; progress on the new 2-8 building being built between the middle school and 2-5 elementary building; the district's research-and-development initiative; and the district's financial accountability, said district spokesman Patrick Gallaway.

"We are again asking the community to submit their questions online to help us focus the content of the town-hall meeting event," Gallaway said.

Questions may be submitted online at

Gallaway said the district received several questions from residents during a school board listening session Jan. 21 and district officials will accept more questions through a link on the district's website.

The Feb. 4 state of the schools address and the question-and-answer session will be streamed live on, Gallaway said.
