The Franklin County Auditor's Office will hold informal property-value reviews from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, Aug. 28, at the New Albany Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin-Granville Road.
Franklin County property owners received tentative new property values earlier this month. Residents can meet with a representative from the auditor's office and ask questions about the property values at nine locations in the county through Sept. 24.

The auditor's office is required by state law to reappraise all county properties every six years. The auditor's office updates those values every three years between reappraisals.
The last reappraisal was completed in 2011 and lowered New Albany's real property values by an approximate average of 9.42 percent, a few percentage points more than the county average, according to the auditor's office.
