Natalie Matt resigns school board seat

New Albany-Plain Local school board member Natalie Matt has resigned her seat effective Aug. 25.

She was in the first year of her second term on the board.

To replace her, board President Mark Ryan said, the board will accept letters of interest through Sept. 3. Letters may be sent via email to district treasurer Rebecca Jenkins at

Ryan said district officials want to interview candidates Sept. 8 and appoint someone during a special meeting Sept. 11.

The appointee would have to run in the November 2015 election to serve the remaining two years on the term, Ryan said.
