New Albany: Improper turn alerts police to curfew violation

The New Albany Police Department cited two juveniles for curfew violation at 2:53 a.m. Aug. 15 on Central College Road at New Albany Road.

The 15- and 16-year-old females were traveling on state Route 605 when the driver made an improper turn, the police report stated.

The officer stopped the vehicle and found the two females were in violation of curfew. They were later released to their parents.

In other recent incident reports from the New Albany Police Department:

* Police are investigating the theft of several checks stolen sometime between 8 a.m. Aug. 18 and 3:55 p.m. Aug. 19 from a vehicle parked in the 7000 block of West Campus Road.

The checks were taken through a driver's-side window, which was damaged in the incident, the report stated.
