Academy's Lint to compete at Virginia

Columbus Academy senior Jack Lint, a Westerville resident, will compete in track and field at the University of Virginia.

Last season, Lint was a member of the 1,600-meter relay that won a Division III state title in 3 minutes, 19.66 seconds. He also was second in the 300 hurdles (37.15) and third in the 110 hurdles (14.57) and high jump (6 feet, 6 inches) as Academy won its second consecutive state title.

Lint also competed for Team USA in the IAAF World Youth Championships in Ukraine last July and finished 13th in the octathlon.

Lint was the 2012 USA Track and Field national champion in the decathlon.

Also in 2012, he won a state title in the 300 hurdles (38.91).
