A nonprofit organization that specializes in career development assistance will be providing a free seminar on "Effective Interviewing" on Tuesday, April 6, at the Northern Lights Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library.

This is part of a collaborative effort between New Directions Career Center and the Columbus Metropolitan Library, according to Cynthia E. Kazalia, placement specialist with New Directors. The seminar will take place from 10 a.m. to noon.

The library branch is located at 4093 Cleveland Ave.

"The two hour event will offer cutting-edge information for job seekers including how to present transferrable skills effectively, turn a work history into an employer benefit and overcome recruiter objections," according to Kazalia.

There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

To register, or for more information, contact the New Directions Career Center at 849-0028, extension 100.
