The Franklin County Consortium for Good Government will host another "Meet the Candidates" forum in Northland on Monday, Oct. 4.

Also presented by the Northland Community Council, the event will be held in the Haimerl Center of Ascension Lutheran Church, 1421 Morse Road. Refreshments will be served during a reception starting at 6:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m.

Those scheduled to be there Oct. 4 include candidates for the Ohio House 21st District, Ohio House 22nd District, Ohio Senate 3rd District, U.S. House of Representatives 12th District and U.S. House of Representatives 15th District.

"'Meet the Candidates' forum events, presented at multiple dates and locations in the weeks leading up to the general election, provide opportunities for voters to pose their questions to each candidate in a given race about issues and topics of concern," an announcement from the consortium stated. "In an age of electronic media, attack ads and (sound bytes), forum events give central Ohio voters a unique opportunity to see, up close and personal, how the candidates react and respond and to learn where the candidates stand on the critical issues that matter to them."
