Columbus Historical Society, author discussion and book signing, 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 4, in the extreme theater within COSI, 333 W. Broad St. Local authors will share and discuss their works about Ohio and Columbus history. Authors scheduled to participate include Mary Joe Bole, Conrade C. Hinds, David Meyers and Elise Meyers Walker. The event is free.

Mount Carmel Health System, Walk with a Doc program, 8:30 to 9 a.m. Dec. 7, at the Woodward Park and Community Center, 5147 Karl Road.
