Cleanup Day slated for May 10 along SR 161 corridor

The second Northland Community Cleanup Day along East Dublin-Granville Road is scheduled for Saturday, May 10.

Volunteers willing to help spruce up one of the neighborhood's major corridors are asked to report at 9 a.m. to the Sharon Woods Center, located behind the Jiffy Lube at 1800 E. Dublin-Granville Road.

They will be issued bags, gloves, safety vests and pickup tools.

Participants should wear sturdy, waterproof shoes and brightly colored clothing for safety.

The litter collection runs until noon.

The area to be policed stretches from the Worthington city limits to Ponderosa Drive.

The cleanup project is presented by the Northland Community Council's Landscaping and Beautification Committee with support from Keep Columbus Beautiful, the Northland Area Business Association and the NABA State Route 161 Task Force.

For more information, contact task force Chairman Dave Cooper at 614-888-2201 or email cleanupday@myncc.org.
