Citizens for Humane Action Animal Shelter, annual Picnic with the Pups, 4 to 8 p.m. July 12, at the shelter, 3765 Corporate Drive. More than 50 vendors will be on hand. Other features include food and beverages, live music, a bounce house, dog games, canine behavior demonstrations and a microchip clinic. Adoption specials on CHA animals will be going on from noon to 8 p.m., which includes cats and kittens for $5 and dogs and puppies for $25.

Epidemek, presentation of "The Restorative Circle: A Circle with a Purpose, noon July 19 at the Gladden Community House, 183 Hawkes Ave. Speakers will be the Rev. Jerome Mccoy and Timothy Richardson. The focus will be on community activities, with victims and families that come together to make a difference. A $15 donation is requested, payable at the door. Deadline to register is July 14. Columbus Public Health, Farmers' Markets, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 31, Aug. 7 and Aug. 14, at 240 Parsons Ave. More than 20 area farmers will offer locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables to neighborhood residents and participants of the Women, Infants and Children nutrition program and the Ohio Direction Card. Good Shepherd Free Store, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (doors close at 12:30 p.m.) on the third Saturday of each month at Church of the Good Shepherd, United Methodist, 6176 Sharon Woods Blvd. The store offers limited quantities of clothing and small household items at no cost. AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. The program offers paid work experience, specialized training, upgrading of skills and job-search assistance. Age, income and residency requirements apply. Lupus Foundation of America, Greater Ohio Chapter, New Patient Education Class, 1 to 2:30 p.m. July 12, in Room 1066 at Martha Morehouse, 2050 Kenny Road. The class is not limited to newly diagnosed patients, although that is its main focus. Registration is required. Mount Carmel Health System, Walk with a Doc program, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. the second and fourth Saturday of each month through Nov. 8, at the Woodward Park and Community Center, 5147 Karl Road. The walks are free for anyone interested in taking steps to improve their health. A doctor will be on hand to answer any questions and talk with people during the event. Medicare Counseling, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at Wexner Heritage Village, 1151 College Ave. Additional sessions are available from 10 a.m. to noon on the first Wednesday and the third Monday of each month. Enrollment options, prescription drug plans and their benefits, Medicare Advantage plans, financial assistance programs for people with limited incomes and long-term care insurance will be discussed. The free, confidential, one-on-one service is being offered in partnership with the Ohio Department of Insurance's Senior Health Insurance Information Program. Ask the Expert: Your Resource for Resume Writing, Interviewing, Networking-and More!, a program offered through New Directions Career Center and the Columbus Metropolitan Library, 9 to 11 a.m. July 15 at the Karl Road branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, 5590 Karl Road. Participants are encouraged to ask pressing job search and career development question in an event that is open to the public.
