Brookhaven High School girls basketball player Jasmine Johnson verbally committed to play for Wright State University in Dayton on Jan. 23, according to coach Reggie Lee.
Johnson, a 5-foot-7 junior guard who made second-team all-City League-North Division last season, is averaging 9.2 points. The Bearcats are 10-2 overall and 8-1 in the league.
She is the fourth player on Brookhaven's team to commit to a Division I school. Seniors Marah Morris (Indiana State), Travecia Franklin (Indiana State) and Briana Holmes (Marist) each signed in November.
Wright State is 12-6 overall and 5-2 in the Horizon League. Other central Ohio natives playing for the Raiders include Eastmoor graduate LaShawna Thomas and Centennial graduate Tanni Scott.
