Northland High School senior boys basketball player Jalen Robinson verbally committed to the University of Dayton on June 27, according to a report in the Dayton Daily News.

The 6-foot-8 post player averaged 12.9 points and 10 rebounds and helped the Vikings earn a Division I state runner-up finish last season.

Robinson verbally committed to West Virginia as a sophomore but de-committed in 2010 and reopened his recruiting. He also had offers from Mid-American Conference schools and other Division I programs.

Vikings teammate Devon Scott verbally committed to Cincinnati on June 14.

New Northland coach Sean Taylor is a Dayton Meadowdale graduate.
