Five DeSales football players commit
Five DeSales High School football players made their college commitments official on Feb. 1.
Warren Ball, Charles Chandler and R.J. Ball signed letters of intent with Ohio State, Kent State and Butler, respectively. Jalen Noble and Alex Washington accepted appointments to the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy, respectively.
Warren Ball had 1,157 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns on 228 carries and was first-team all-district last fall as the Stallions finished 7-4 and lost 24-21 to Elida in a Division III, Region 10 semifinal.
Chandler had 23 catches for 609 yards and five touchdowns.
R.J. Ball had 27.5 tackles, 7.5 sacks and one interception while making honorable mention all-district.
Washington, a defensive lineman, earned special mention all-district.
Noble is a wide receiver and defensive back who had three receptions, two interceptions, 21 tackles and four pass breakups last fall.
Butler competes in the Football Championship Subdivision, formerly Division I-AA.
