DeSales High School senior Miranda Singer earned all-state honors at the girls state bowling tournament March 1 at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.
Singer, who was making her first appearance at state as an individual, finished eighth with a 589 series. Coldwater junior Erika Hartings was medalist (648).
“I just wanted to do well,” Singer said. “(I’m really) happy (to earn all-state) since it’s my first time here.”
Also competing individually from the area was Westerville Central sophomore Savannah Slark, who finished 20th (533).
Briggs followed its district runner-up finish by placing 15th (2,824) during the team qualifying round as the top eight advanced to the championship round.
Cardington was fourth (3,170) after the qualifying round and was the only team from the Central District to advance to the championship round.
Lancaster was last (2,604) of 16 teams during the qualifying round. Coldwater was first (3,327).
