After a thorough review of all inventory items, the Olentangy Local School District's food-service department announced the district's bulk peanut butter, peanut butter bars and peanut butter pockets do not contain any recalled peanut butter products, a press release said.

The Ohio Department of Education, Commodity Distribution Division and Pierre Foods, Olentangy's product manufacturer, have confirmed the safety of those foods, Olentangy food services supervisor Pam Riley said.

The Food and Drug Administration recently recalled peanut butter products manufactured by the Peanut Corp. of America.

Olentangy is suspending the sale of all other prepackaged products containing peanut butter or peanut paste until the district receives confirmation from their manufacturers that the products do not contain the recalled peanut butter.

Parents and others who have questions may call the district at (740) 657-4053.
