Children of all ages can sign up to read to Lucy, a 2-year-old goldendoodle dog, at the Powell branch of the Delaware County District Library.

Lucy will listen to readers during "Paws for Reading," to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, and Sunday, Feb. 22.

Paws for Reading is part of "Tail Waggin' Tutors," a reading program developed by Therapy Dogs International (www.td-dog.org). The objective of Paws for Reading is to provide a relaxed, "dog-friendly" atmosphere in which children can practice reading.

Lucy is nonshedding and hypoallergenic. She is certified by TDI and will be accompanied by her handlers.

Goldendoodles are a hybrid cross between the golden retriever and the poodle.

Her owners are Laurie and Jeremy Cox of Delaware.
