Olentangy Local Schools announced Tuesday that interim superintendent Jennifer Hooie is leaving the district to become chief instructional officer at Tri-Rivers Educational Computer Association. Her last day will be Feb. 16.

Olentangy Local Schools announced Tuesday that interim superintendent Jennifer Hooie is leaving the district to become chief instructional officer at Tri-Rivers Educational Computer Association. Her last day will be Feb. 16.

Hooie has been with the district since 1999 and served as the first director of curriculum and instruction, the first assistant superintendent and interim superintendent, a press release said.

Jeff Brown, a district employee since 2001, was appointed interim superintendent by the board of education at its meeting Tuesday. Brown will serve in that role through April 30. He is currently executive director of elementary learning and also has served as an elementary assistant principal and principal.

Wade Lucas, recently hired as superintendent, will join the district March 23.
