Olentangy Liberty High School athletics director Tom Gerhardt didn't have to look outside the family of former field hockey coach Gena Bailey when it came to finding her successor.

Gerhardt said Thursday that Dana Miklos, the younger sister of Bailey, has been named coach. Miklos spent the last three seasons as junior varsity coach and varsity assistant at Worthington Kilbourne.

"She's a younger version of Gena, I believe," Gerhardt said. "She has big plans for the program. She wants to take it to another level."

Liberty finished 14-4-1 last season, establishing a program record for victories. It had set the previous mark in 2007 when it finished 13-5.

The Patriots were 48-43-9 in six seasons under Bailey.
