With redistricting of attendance areas now complete, the Olentangy school district will be ready on Monday, March 2, to begin kindergarten registration for the 2009-10 school year.

The district has created new attendance boundaries at the elementary level for the 2009-10 school year. The district delayed registration until that process was complete.

Beginning March 2, parents may call the New Student Welcome Center at (740) 657-4030 or (740) 657-4033 to get a personal identification number (PIN). The number will allow them to complete online registration forms, the district said in a press release.

The center will extend its hours to 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from March 2 through March 13. After that period, the center will continue to take registration calls but will return to its normal operating hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

After completing the online registration forms, parents may schedule an appointment for kindergarten registration at the school their child will attend.

Each elementary school will hold kindergarten registration days by appointment only.
