New Hope Church is offering several adult education classes, which continue into May. All of the classes are free; participants may wish to purchase a book or other study materials.

The classes are under way, but latecomers are welcome and according to a church representative, should have no trouble catching up.

Conversation Peace: The Power of Transformed Speech, 9:15 a.m. on Thursdays. The class began April 8 and continues through May 20. Learn how to change negative speech habits such as gossip, negative barbs and sarcasm. Michele Worthington is the class leader.

Discerning the Voice of God, 7 p.m. on Mondays. The class began April 12 and continues through May 17. Learn to distinguish the voice of God above all others in our world. Led by Kathie Gardner.

Gripped by the Greatness of God, 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. The class began April 7 and continues through May 26. How do we understand a power and love that has no limits? What are the true characteristics of God? Led by Albert Newball.
