The 11th annual Hope Street Kids Family Night at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium last month raised more than $130,000 for the Hope Street Kids Pediatric Cancer Research Grants and Fellowship Program.

Nearly 1,000 families attended the $100-per-family event, which included private viewings of gibbons and orangutans, live music and other special attractions and food.

The annual fundraiser was founded in 1999 by U.S. Rep. Deborah Pryce and Randy Walker, in memory of their daughter, Caroline Pryce Walker, who died that year of neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. Since then, HSK has raised more than $10-million.
