The Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities is offering "Focus on Abilities" dedication bricks to members of the public who wish to dedicate a message to an individual, group or organization.

The Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities is offering "Focus on Abilities" dedication bricks to members of the public who wish to dedicate a message to an individual, group or organization.

The bricks will be placed at the main entrance on the west side of the DCBDD's new building at 7991 U.S. 23 in Lewis Center.

Bricks are $50 for individuals or families and $100 for businesses.

Each is 4-inches by 8-inches and can be sandblasted with up to three lines with 13 characters per line.

Proceeds will benefit Focus on Abilities and will be used for the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities' levy campaign.

The deadline for orders is Nov. 15.

Fred "Mac" Reeves Jr. will be the guest speaker of the Powell Liberty Historical Society at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11.

Reeves grew up in Powell and graduated from Powell High School in 1946. He now lives in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

He will share the history of the Red Men Lodge in Hyatts. In addition, he will provide information on two lodges once very active in Powell: the Odd Fellows and the Knights of Pythius.
