Delaware County Sheriff Walter Davis announced Feb. 21 that a Franklin County man is in custody, accused of robbing a Powell family early Sunday morning.

Members of the Columbus Police Department’s S.W.A.T. section apprehended 25-year-old Douglas Blake at his Columbus residence shortly after 4 a.m. today, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

The suspect was identified through tips from the public, Davis said. He was located at a Saddle Run residence.

Blake is accused of following a Powell family to their home early Sunday morning, entering their garage, pulling a gun and demanding money. Evidence linked to the robbery was seized from the suspect’s home, the sheriff's department release said.
