Schweitzer supported in Statehouse bid

To the editor:

After attending the Feb. 16 candidates' forum in Sunbury, I have decided that Craig Schweitzer deserves your favorable consideration for state representative in the new Ohio 67th House District.

Schweitzer is a business owner who pays taxes. He owns a business that pays taxes. He has many employees who earn money and pay taxes. These are the kind of dollars that will help get our local economy moving forward again. Schweitzer is a veteran, having served in the Persian Gulf. He has children in the local schools, and, most importantly, is not a career politician.

Craig Schweitzer will bring independent thinking to the Statehouse. He is small business. He knows what it takes to be successful, and what it will take to keep Ohio moving forward in this troubled economy. I urge your support for Craig Schweitzer on March 6.

Support urged for Brenner

To the editor:

I urge your support for state Rep. Andrew Brenner in the March 6 primary.

I have known Andy for several years, and have come to know him better through my wife's involvement on the Delaware County Republican Central Committee. The Republican Party has endorsed Andy in this election.

Andy has worked tirelessly for issues that are important to my family. Andy has a 100-percent pro-life voting record, and I am glad to see the Ohio Right to Life PAC has endorsed him.

When we needed to defeat the doubling of the Powell's income tax (which failed with more than 70 percent of the vote), Andy and his wife were there to assist us because they understood how the tax increase would affect Powell businesses.

When incremental revenues are truly needed, careful consideration is needed to ensure parity among taxpayers and prioritization of needs. Government shouldn't just raise taxes when it doesn't have enough money. Andy gets that and has a proven track record to show for it. That's why organizations like the Ohio Chamber of Commerce endorsed Andy.

I hope you will join me in supporting Andrew Brenner on March 6.

Brenner backed for state representative

To the editor:

As a resident of Liberty Township and a small business own-er, I am supporting our Republican state representative, Andrew Brenner, in the March 6 primary.

Andy has a stellar record that reflects our values and interests.

In his first year as state representative, Andy helped to balance the budget without raising taxes.

Many government entities think that if they run out of money they can just raise taxes, but Andy realizes that government needs to rein in its spending.

In fact, Andy is so focused on pro-business and conservative measures that he received the "Defender of Liberty" award from the American Conservative Union for his 100-percent conservative voting record.

And, he has a 100-percent pro-business voting record that earned him the endorsement from the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. The Delaware County Republican Party, Ohio Right to Life and Buckeye Firearms also have endorsed him.

None of these have endorse his opponent.

On March 6, I encourage everyone to join me in supporting Andrew Brenner for another term as our representative. For more information, visit www.AndrewBrenner.com.
