Thief nabs $3,435 in tools from Powell-area home

Tools worth $3,435 were stolen between 10 p.m. June 28 and 8 a.m. June 29 from a residence in the 4300 block of Vista Walk Lane, according to - County Sheriff's reports.

Stolen items include multiple circular saws, a handheld blower and various hand tools.

Property worth $1,193 was stolen between 1 and 10:56 a.m. July 7 from a residence in the 2900 block of Pleasant Colony Drive, reports said.

Stolen items include a leather purse, a leather wallet and a pair of sunglasses.

Electronics worth $1,250 were stolen at about 6:59 p.m. July 5 from a residence In the first block of South Old State Road, according to reports.

A Powell resident said someone smashed his patio table between 6 p.m. July 7 and 10 a.m. July 8 outside his residence in the 7700 block of Spring Garden Lane.

An unknown vandal picked up an umbrella from the patio and used it to shatter the glass in a nearby table, with damages totaling $800, according to Powell police reports.

A Powell resident said someone stole his credit cards and used them to make fraudulent purchases totaling $4,495 between 7 p.m. July 8 and 7:27 a.m. July 9, after he left the cards in his car parked outside his residence in the 1000 block of Evinmoor Court.

A Powell woman reported her watch was stolen between noon and 4:30 p.m. July 4 at a business in the 3700 block of Village Club Drive.

The watch is worth $1,275, according to reports.

A Powell woman returned home to find that her garage door had been damaged at about 3:30 p.m. July 11 at her residence in the 200 block of O'Quinn Court, police said.

The damage was estimated at $300, reports said.
