Thieves target designer purses
A designer purse worth about $1,400 was stolen at 4 a.m. Jan. 4 from a residence in the 1400 block of Riverwood Lane in Powell, according to Delaware County Sheriff's reports.
An officer responded to a report of a burglary in progress and arrived to find someone had forced entry into the residence and stolen the purse, reports said.
A designer purse worth $700 was stolen between 2:15 and 2:30 a.m. Jan. 1 from a car parked in the 2500 block of Sandhurst Drive in Lewis Center, sheriff's reports said.
Someone smashed out the driver's-side window of a vehicle between 12:55 and 1:45 a.m. Jan. 4 while it was parked in the 2600 block of Abbey Knoll Drive in Lewis Center, reports said.
Damages are estimated at $250, according to reports.
Someone smashed out a window on a vehicle, with damages estimated at $200, between 7 p.m. Jan. 3 and 7:30 a.m. Jan. 4, while the car was parked in the 4100 block of McNamara Place in Lewis Center, sheriff's reports said.
An unknown vandal smashed out a window on the exterior of a business between 10 p.m. Jan. 6 and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 7 in the 100 block of East Olentangy Street, Powell police reports said.
Damages were estimated at $500, according to reports.
A Powell woman reported someone scratched her car with a key between 7:15 and 10:30 p.m. Jan. 10 while it was parked in the 3900 block of West Powell Road.
